What's that? This is really late again? Oh I know, believe me.
Thankfully, we're about two weeks away from the new Stats guy taking over for me, at which time you can once again count on the weekly stats to be posted each and every Sunday. I've been informed that I get to go to a farm upstate with lots of room for me to run around and be happy with all the other dogs. I hope it's the same farm my parents moved my childhood dog, Cocoa to!
This report is for the period August 6th to August 12th.
Games Started15,275 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 23,595 games between them (1,670 different games).
Very likely this will be the only time that
Persona 4: Arena is number 1. Hold on, I need to look ahead to next week, I'll be right back.
....
....
Yup, this is the only week that
Persona 4: Arena will be number 1. Enjoy it! I know I'm enjoying the recent sales for
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning propelling it back onto the chart.
London 2012: The Official Video Game will start fading away now that the Olympics are a memory. Sadly, I know the 2016 games are in Rio, but where's the 2014 Winter Olympics going to be hosted?

I wanted to mention
Hybrid right at the start but somehow, that didn't seem fitting. Has any XBLA game suffered a more horrendous launch then this poor shooter? While it has some decent word of mouth, provided you don't care about the ludicrously long grind for some achievements,
Hybrid had its legs cut out from underneath with a temporary removal from the marketplace on launch day! It's unfortunate and sadly, looks like it's scared a significant portion of the potential audience away.
Deadlight recently surpassed 5k total gamers, making it an XBLA hit. I had my own issues with the game, specifically Chapter 2, but at the end I realized I had just as much if not more fun playing the game then spending the same amount of money to see Step Up: Revolution. That's what happens when your wife is a dance fan.
The TA Stats Committee (of One) has severely underestimated the staying power of
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.
Trials Evolution also has some serious legs on it, but it's only a Kate Bosworth to
Minecraft's Stacy Keibler.

Sally's Spa (WP) is the sequel to
http://www.trueachievements.com/Sallys-Salon-LE-xbox-360.htm. That beig said,
Sally's Spa is the first WP game since
Mush (WP) to receive such praise on my friend feed. Yes that praise was from only two people, but for the WP titles, I take the feedback wherever I can.
Flowerz (WP) magically hitting the chart again is a bit weird. Has even the WP market dried up to the point where people are tackling a backlog?

Games Completed6,864 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 9,693 games between them (1,189 different games).
584 seems a bit low for
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I will continue to espouse my theory regarding DLC in that it leads to greatly diminished returns over time. Then again, I'd wager the more casual gamer, such as the ones with under 10 or 20 games on their cards, eats up
Call of Duty map packs.
Thanks to those that responded last time when I asked about
Left 4 Dead 2, I now know that Valve changed the mutator selection process and that has allowed a lot of people to actually finish the game.

While
Deadlight is an easy completion, in fact it's so easy, that Dog of Thunder was able to do it,
Full House Poker is not. 10,000 hands of poker may be nothing for Chris Moneymaker, but unless you have a turbo controller, it's going to take some time.
I also hate 75 more of you for finishing
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD.

Collapse! (WP) Watch 2012 Update!
First off, I need someone to make me a "Collapse! Watch 2012 Update" graphic for these articles. Secondly, 183 people need to finish one of the easiest games of all time for the coveted 100% completion rate. Fourthly, what happend to third?
Need for Speed: Undercover (WP) added 69 to its completion total, which sadly, made me giggle a litle. While the mobile version of
Need for Speed was on sale, the rest of the chart has, again, shown very little change over the past few weeks.

Achievements Won42,789 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 545,533 achievements online between them (45,935 different achievements).
So this chart shows that well over 584 gamers picked up
Modern Warfare 3's latest DLC. 5,479 TA Community Members have picked up the "Collection 3: Chaos Pack", which is a great number but not when you realize that nearly 90,000 Community Members started up
Modern Warfare 3 in the first place.

Two thoughts on this chart:
1)
Deadlight is indeed really easy and short, but one of the most graphically impressive games I've played all year.
2) I loved Shrek 2:

Sally's Spa is again, the most positively received WP game we've seen in about a month. Don't judge it by the name but by the crazy "Get a perfect score on all levels on both difficulties" achievement.

Total TrueAchievements won by GenreSpoiler: This chart looks different next week.
Also I love seeing Platformer up here, basically due solely to
Deadlight.
