Codemasters calls off the 'Hei$t'

Hei$t was being made by inXile entertainment, who made one of my favorite games 'The Bard's Tale'. The whole idea of the Hei$t was that you would be playing some funkalicious dudes pulling off some movie inspired thefts. Think of the movies, 'Heat', 'Ronin', 'The Score', with maybe some 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'The Italian Job' poured in. Then take it all and stick it in San Francisco, set in 1969 just as the love of Funk was exploding!

But after I get you all psyched up for the game Codemasters had to go and cancel it, at least according to what a Codemasters representative told CVG.

"After a much extended development period, Heist has been terminated as a project and removed from our release schedule," - Codemasters Representative

Also...

"Codemasters is focusing its future portfolio on high quality titles that will, in the majority, be developed and produced by our internal studios." - Codemasters Representative

So while this may sadden your hearts and crush the dreams of the happy little kleptomaniac inside of you. Fear not since I have had some great experiances with Codemasters and if they say they are going to be putting out some high quality games then I believe them.

That is all for now, so long my babies!
