| Thats actually. I wish more games would be micro-transaction based. Sell me a game for $30 (or give it to me for free) and I'll buy it. Once I own it, offer me lots of DLC at $10 a pop and I'll probably buy that as well. Throw it some micro-transactions where I can cash in for gold or bonuses or even XP multipliers and i'll probably do that as well. I'll probably spend like $80 on your game anyway. |

| As long as you don't have to buy something for an achievement, it sounds good. I'm a big fan of LOTRO and just getting into TF2 (Both f2p games) |

For all the people that complain about online passes and day 1 dlc, and how it supposedly wrecks gaming thru greed..the free to play model will evolve into something much worse in my opinion.
Right now it seems ok with some ads in stuff like wordament, as it is in pay games as it is, but I am wondering just how much will be free and how much is micro transactions in games 2 years from now. people already complain tons about ultimate team modes due to micro transactions, just wait for this movement to really kick in. |

I quite liked the look of this at E3, obviously - I didn't learn anything from the clip they showed regarding the gameplay mechanics. I'm glad this is free to play, I can check it out properly before dropping any funds at all. |

| A tip to remember is nothing is free, especially from microsoft, the only gaming company that charges for any online play what so ever. So any free games they offer will have some kind of financial draw. |

| I'm sure it will take forever to complete without spending some money...just like the Freemium games on WP. Oh well though...still pretty awesome. Happy Wars looks like a fun game to play with friends. I hope Ascent: New Gods will be too. |

| I can imagine that they'll add achievements that can only be unlocked by purchasing items/content, making it impossible to complete (Achievement wise) without paying a certain amount. |

I bet the move to make it F2P came about entirely because of this Ascend: New Gods Showcases Multiplayer Features
