Edit: A lot of people seem to be forgetting that a season pass and online pass are very different, This is not an online pass and you don't need it to play online. |

| I loved the first game, but I think I'll be waiting awhile for this one. Probably get the GOTY edition next year. Glad to hear it'll have DLC on it! |

Mortal Kombat was the first game released with the season pass.
Online pass - pay for the ability to play online
Season pass - pay for the all of the DLC upfront and get it on release day. You will also get a discount when buying the season pass (in most cases)
Big difference there. The season pass is in no way a negative thing for anybody. You may purchase them individually if you prefer, purchase only the ones you want or save yourself some cash and get it all for a bit cheaper (if your getting them all anyway). its a great system that does not make you purchase it to play the game, as the online pass does. |

Also, fuck EA and the creation of the "Season Pass"!!!!!!Dude EA was the one that created the Online Pass not the Season Pass. Season pass is really a buy the DLC now at a 25% discount and download them when they are released at no extra cost then what the DLC would cost if you buy them separately.
If I am not mistaken I think it was Rockstar who first invented this season pass with L.A Noir. If I am wrong then I am wrong. :P |

The years of $60 games are over, I guess. Why not just let me pay $90 up front and let me get everything else free. I'll be more likely to keep games longer, buy it new and not feel robbed later on. I know the jump in price would make most upset, but they can buy the cheaper version of the game. Halo 4 has something like this when you preorder the limited edition, I believe. I also wonder if selling games for the new norm of $70 would give developers and publishers more of an initial investment in order to create more free (or at least cheaper) post-launch DLC. I used to complain about games still being so expensive when technology has come so far, but with these leaps between graphics and gameplay (Saint's Row series as an example), I can see why. Also, the whole race for the new generation ofnconsoles is on.
I waited on Borderlands and got everything dirt cheap. But I loved it so, I am very much willing to place my hard earned money into this sequel and keep supporting the wonderful staff. |
