The game play looks really slow and lame, the boss fight seems slow, boring and just no fun when it comes to kicking somebody's ass like the previous games. It doesn't even look challenging either. The video really needs to be shortened, we don't want a tutorial of the moves. We know how to play games and we can figure that out for ourselves. For those fire gloves or whatever they are, it looks like they ripped off prototype's harm fist and just added flames to call it their own......LAME, make up something new. Your just bringing back a crappier Irifit from the first DMC. For an origin story this looks really crappy guys, scrap it before you go bankrupt and restart with what you already had. I don't like the new style ranking system for it bring back the one you kept for the other ones. Hard mode looks like normal mode, so that is really pathetic, also if thats hard mode you should have alot more enemy's that try to kick your ass like the similar one.
After watching the full video, there are a few things I like, but very few, I like that the combo's seem a little easier to chain together but not great, they seem kind of slow and lack that spark that makes it DMC. The scythe, I'm starting to like a little bit more. It seems almost like nero's devil bringer sort of. I also like how the devil trigger isn't what the magazine said it was going to be, it looks like you can activate it from the ground and link stuff together.
Some things I'm okay with and can get use to, other things I just can't get used to. I agree with SoulEater. I'm not that impressed with what I've seen so far, they need to stop it and complete start from scratch and use what they had then release it. Because with this they won't probably get that good a review and the game might actually bankrupt them. Either way I will wait until the game is dirt cheap to give my final judgement on the game. I'm at least going to do that, but no way and I paying full price for that thing. |
