Mechromancer Gets Tentative Release Date

You won't be waiting long for a new class

Back in April, many gamers were shocked and delighted to hear that Gearbox would be adding a fifth playable class to their upcoming Borderlands 2. At the time of the announcement, Gearbox hadn't begun development for the new character, as they were committed to finishing up the core game before moving on to DLC experiences.

Now, on the heels of their, Season Pass announcement, they've finally given us a target date for when gamers can begin to shoot and loot with the Mechromancer.

The "Mechromancer DLC" Borderlands 2 now has a tentative release date of October 16th and will be priced at 800 MSP. Gamers who pre-ordered Borderlands 2 will be getting the new class for free, however.

Out of all the characters the Mechromancer seems the most interesting even though we dont know that much about her. The army guy is my second choice, haha.

Planned DLC like this turns me off. As much as I loved the first Borderlands, I have a big enough backlog to justify waiting for the GOTY edition.

@dc0dr - they've said one tree is the girlfriend class. They've aiad the other tree is the hard ore.class, and will be for pros only.

Where do you have to preorder.from? I have a preorder, but that assumes that games preorder code for the armoury stuff also unlocks this?.
