Overstrike Changes Name To Fuse

Overstrike Changes Name To Fuse

Plus a look at the game's opening

Written by DavieMarshall on 06 September 12 at 18:19

Insomniac Games developed and EA published http://www.trueachievements.com/Overstrike-xbox-360.htm is no more. It has instead changed its name to Fuse since it was announced at E3 back in 2011. As a quick recap, the game was billed as:

... a unique blend of features that have long been a part of the Insomniac DNA: high powered gadgets, action-heavy gameplay, memorable characters in a deep and mysterious universe and of course a touch of humor and since this is our first multiplatform game, we’re especially excited to introduce ourselves to a new audience – one which may not have experienced our previous games. Now for that video:

For more information and some pretty nice screens, be sure to head back to that E3 article. Just remember, Fuse, not Overstrike.

Overstrike was definitely a better name then Fuse. But at least its good to see this game is not dead and gone. It has been a long time since we have heard from this game. It's awesome that insomniac is getting to do something outside of the playstation realm

Name change was actually heavily neccasary even if most people liked the old name better it was so heavily generic (not that Fuse isnt) the game was very forggetable (not to mention it looks like youll be infiltrating an underground complex so "Over" doesnt seem to match so much anymore

'Fuse' sounds like it'd be the name of a Codemasters game where you race flood-damaged vehicles until their electrical system shits the bed and the last player still moving wins.

Fuse is a music TV channel.

Anyway, glad to see EA hasn't tainted this game so far.

OMG but I love the slightly cartoonish style of this game (looking at the old video). Probably the most visually striking game I've seen announced since Bioshock Infinite. See you on Day One.
