UK Deal Roundup for September 11th, 2012

UK Deal Roundup for September 11th, 2012

The best of the UK prices

Written by KeithBGray on 11 September 12 at 10:20

Retail releases aren't the only things looking up in the gaming world this week. The sales are back to some semblance of order with Base bringing its first new promotion in many weeks and another new set of deals from Sainsbury's. ASDA seem to want a piece of the pre-order action this time around, with the promise of beta access to sweeten the deal. None of those promotions come remotely close to topping the superb price that Tesco are offering for a Limited Edition copy of a month-old instant hit. I won't tease any longer... see below for the important stuff!

Just one of the small number of deals featured last week make a return in the recurring sales. Unfortunately, several of the summer-themed promotions which have been running over the past few months have been dropped this week.

You'll need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing and subject to change at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales

Ahead of its release next month, ASDA is the best squad around when it comes to the current pre-order price for the Limited Edition of series reboot sequel, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The deadly price of £34.97 trumps other retailers. You should also bear in mind that pre-ordering the Limited Edition will grant early access to the multiplayer beta of Battlefield 4 as an added incentive.

Base has a small selection of titles for under £10. Prices quoted are when bought from Base directly, rather than independent sellers. The following games are included:
Hunted: The Demon's Forge - £6.99
Project Gotham Racing 3 - £9.99
Samurai Shodown Sen - £9.49
http://www.trueachievements.com/UFC-2009-Undisputed/ach....htm (Classics) - £9.99
WET - £7.59
• Xbox LIVE Hits Collection (Retail triple pack including Limbo, Splosion Man and Trials HD) - £9.99

If you want a new console to tackle the year's biggest releases, then you should head over to GameStop and take advantage of the Hardware Price Drop. The promotion sees a 4GB Xbox 360 S Console & Kinect bundle (including Kinect Adventures) for £214.97.

GameStop also has a number of titles reduced as part of its Back To School deals. Unfortunately, only the Worms Collection is worth a mention at £14.97.

Sainsbury's Big Night In promotion includes Games for family and friends and Games for yourself. http://www.trueachievements.com/DisneyPixar-RUSH/achiev....htm at £16.99 is the only stand-out title from the limited selection across the two separate sections, although a few others may be worth your consideration.

Tesco has a stellar promotion on the Limited Edition of Sleeping Dogs for a sweet (and definitely not sour) price tag of £24.97. Take your chance to snap up the recent release, which has enjoyed rave reviews across TA and the wider gaming community.

The Play.com 4200 points is hardly a deal. It's that price pretty much everywhere including Game who also offer instant delivery whereas Play do not.

PGR3 for £9.99? Blockbuster near mine have it in 5 for £10, its pre-owned but still you would have to be mental to buy it for that price. I bought it as a launch game for £50 in January 2006 though....

They also do Quidco cashback which saves you a little more money too.

Anyone that's after Hitman Absolution, I pre ordered mine the other day when it dropped to £32.99 on Amazon UK.
Still includes the pre order bonus Sniper Challenge code.

Just an FYI for all the new people coming on here making comments about I can buy such and such game for 50p. The UK roundup deal is for new sealed games, not used/ preowned etc.

By all means if you know places online that are offering deals on new sealed games or know places that do good deals on MSP etc then please feel free to post.

Who's New? The only new things on this thread ARE the games.

Tesco Entertainment has actually put it up by a quid, but Binary Domain is still definitely worth £9.91 NEW

http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/game/xbox-360-binary...

the vanquish at £6.48 on Amazon is also new
