NFS: Most Wanted Shows Off Some Wheels

Sure, it's nice that Criterion's upcoming Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) will feature Kinect Integration, but in the end, what the game is all about is racing, and racing fast.

In order to do that, you need some well-outfitted cars. We've seen some of the game's vehicles in motion before, but as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Enough words, then, as here are four screens for you to attach your sentiments to.

will there be a 1996 nissan avenir salut x turbo charged wagon in the car selection? i think we would love to see cheap japanese imports in the game, modified, or is this not the game for them? in the screens above, i think japanese, european and american... but all high end stuff.

Need for Speed hasn't been the same since Underground 2, Most wanted was okay but i mostly buy NFS for free roam and awesome customization(like Undercover) but they just haven't made them like they used to be

I got to play it for nearly half an hour @ Gamescom in Cologne a few weeks back & it looks fantastic, feels amazing & plays like a dream.

It has the freeroam of Paradise & classic NFS's, cop chases @ any time (single player, multiplayer & freeroam) & co-op challenges like Paradise.

It also has Autolog2 - which doesn't just send details of your best race times to all your friends, but also your longest jumps, drifts, how many billboards, smash gates & superjumps you've found (& other stuff, I'm sure).

And it has roadrules from Paradise for fastest times down every street on the map. Only thing it doesn't have is crash-mode (no bad thing really).

Oh yeah - and every car is available from the start, if you can find where it's been left in the city that is.

I'm just holding out to see if this bombs or whether this is good.

I s'pose I'm kind of lucky having a friend w Kinect so if anything does crop up (your Forza4 example, for example) I just tap him up for a little K-time.
