Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is Here

Launch trailer and Kunimitsu gameplay analysis

Written by Lexual on 12 September 12 at 12:12

This week sees the launch of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, full to the brim with a plethora of new and returning characters in the largest Tekken roster ever, and what better way to celebrate than with a launch trailer.

Namco Bandai and the guys from Level Up Your Game have also followed up their previous two in depth gameplay analysis videos of Ancient Ogre and Michelle Chang, with a new video which features the third of the pre-order characters, Kunimitsu.

As with the previous videos, the team breaks down the basics of Kunimitsu and go into great detail of the strengths, weaknesses and all round style of the character in practice mode against an inactive character.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is available now in North America, and will be released in Europe on September 14th.

After the shit-fest that was "Street Fighter X Tekken"? - No chance.
Dog of Thunder - Just finished the craziest Warmachine game ever. 4v4, then 3v2, then 2v1, and I somehow won.

Granted, the SFxT and UMvC3 is why I'm hesitant to purchase any more Capcom fighting titles, but let's not drag Namco down until they mess up.

TakahashiDemon - MS' Live Stream wasn't that great, too much multimedia stuff and not enough about games.

BrumtownMangler said:After the shit-fest that was "Street Fighter X Tekken"? - No chance.SF X Tekken is made by Capcom.. TTT2 is made by Namco, TTT2 is going to be so much better, the SF X Tekken tag mechanics were terrible, even the first Tekken Tag beats it.

I'm a little surprised fighting games are still being made and pimped out so heavily. Must still hold a niche market.

TakahashiDemon said:Tekken isn't exactly a button mashing game, that style of play only gets you so far.And this is most likely why I agree with the first comment! I just can't get real good with these type of games. There is too much variable and my mind is not that quick to react. So I button smash. dance
Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.

BrumtownMangler said:After the shit-fest that was "Street Fighter X Tekken"? - No chance. As the others have said, that was Capcom and while it was an unpleasant mix of the two it still wasn't so bad as to be deemed a "shit-fest". Then again the sheer fact you're judging Tag 2 based on that one says leagues about how much you pay attention. laugh
