Fallout: New Vegas - Teaser Trailer and Info

Did you know that irradiated cats have 18 half-lives?

I've never heard of this game franchise before but supposedly Fallout 3 was quite successful? Got a lot of acclaim and sold really well? Bethesda are following the game up with the Obsidian-developed Fallout: New Vegas? Ring any bells?

A fairly-cryptic teaser trailer was recently posted online (which you can watch here:
), potentially revealing some information about the game, or just teasing us with some vague red herrings. Is the Frank Sinatra song a clue to the time or era it's set? Is the gravestones a hint about existing life? Is the Vegas city backdrop still in tact? Why is there a Californian flag at the end of the video? (credit to AndyLSimmons for pointing that out to me)

You can read into the trailer as much as you'd like, but if you want some more substantial information about the game, check the latest issue of PC Gamer, where they have an exclusive preview of the game.

Fallout: New Vegas is scheduled for release in "Fall 2010," which to non-Americans means Autumn.

This game sounds like it's going to be even better than Fallout 3 so hopefully it will blow me away.

And I can't wait to try out all the special melee weapon moves, especially if they bring back the stealth suit.

Fallout 3? Never heard of it. On a side note - this looks like it may be rather fun!

I never heard of the first two but I loved the third one so much I decided to complete it. I really like that this one will take place in Las vegas, and hopefully a widespread of Nevada.

Thanks for the info. The game sounds like it should be pretty good.

The teaser didn't do it for me though. The first one at least had some ironic humor but this one is just a robot digging for two minutes and a helgast with a cali flag. =/

Yeah, for me it just seemed like they were using BioShock music and a Wall-E style robot and a Killzone Helghast. Not exactly the most original trailer I've ever seen

Sounds awesome as I would expect from Fallout, the Hardcore mode intrigues me.

Definitely, will make the game much more challenging which is a good thing until it goes from fun to frustrating.

Sweet, I'd wanted to pick up the first 2 and try and play the Van Buren demo to get the rest of the story with the NCR and such. That's what the flag is, which is awesome. Definitely gonna pre-order this one!
I'm entitled to my opinion.

Fallout did all three things you mentioned before Bioshock, Wall-E and Killzone.

A disappointing teaser. I don't think it sounds like it does enough for me either. For the £40 price tag I'd rather purchase Bioshock 2 or Mass Effect 2 over this. No doubt I will play it in time, but it's not a 'must have' for me.

Not a good trailer, but the game itself, I am excited for.

um...no. Fallout never had a helgast look-alike before.

Firstly, I doubt it. Secondly, that wasn't even my point. I was trying to say that Fallout: New Vegas is stealing or plagarising from anything, but when I saw the trailer, that's exactly what I saw. Whether they were first or not is irrelevant
