Realms Of Ancient War Trailer

New cooperation mode gameplay video released

Written by Graymouse 1 on 13 September 12 at 12:31

If you are a fan of a true and pure dungeon crawler game that offers intense and challenging combat with your friends, then look no further than Realms of Ancient War. While playing in cooperative mode, two players can join forces to face hordes of monsters. Cooperative play allows your friend to join any time in the game to help you in fighting off the monster hordes growing strength. Be warned however, good coordination will be required, as the monster mobs in cooperative mode will be stronger than the ones that are in the single player mode. To demostrate this, take a look at the video below.

If you want to know the story behind Realms of Ancient War, you can read all about it below

The four Kingdoms of Men, Elves and Dwarves lay in ruins, preyed on by raiders and looters. In this chaos, a new, unknown threat is looming... To discover its true nature, the kingdoms sent detachments to investigate, a dangerous mission from which no one returned. But what about you? You, who were in the wrong place at the wrong time...

Take control of a powerful Warrior, a dark Sorcerer or a Rogue master of stealth, and plunge into a grand quest full of action! The world of R.A.W. leads you, alone or in 2-player co-op, through many levels as rich as varied in every corner of the continent.

Along your quest, the experience gained through the violent battles you will fight and the weapons and magic items you will loot on the lifeless bodies of your opponents will allow you to develop the power of your chosen character. You will learn new powers and spells ever more devastating, some of which, when mastered, will allow you to inflict tremendous damage and eradicate several dozens of enemies at once… as they will often rally in hordes to fight you!

All the power you will be granted will not be too much to exterminate your outnumbering enemies. Thanks to your gift of incarnation, you will even be able to take direct control of the body of your most powerful foes, seeding discord and destruction right at the heart of enemy armies!

Invite a friend to join your adventure in an exciting co-op mode, where coordination and teamwork are essential ingredients of victory!
Grab a friend, don your armor and sharpen your blades because Realms of Ancient War will be released next week on September 19th.

Looks awesome, reminds me of the Dark Alliance games. I used to them with my friend on original xbox, some of the best fun we've had as far as games go. Definitely gonna pick this up and play with him, should be tons of fun.

Note to those considering this game: It's couch co-op, not live co-op... to it's own major detriment.

This does look kind of fun. But I haven't seen a price tag anywhere yet. I also just don't have the time for new games. My backlog is absurd. With the right price tag, this might go to the top of my backlog!

Without it this game for me uninteresting.

I've am looking forward to giving this a try. Crimson Alliance a was fun gauntlet style game, I was expecting a diablo style game (which I understand was never their real intent).

Sweet, really looking forward to this game. I just hope I can pull myself off of Borderlands 2 to play it some.

I've looked everywhere, the games website and forums and I didn't see anything that said it was online or local co-op only.

Edit: Never mind. I found something on Xbox.com that has the info, unfortunately it is local only. cry

This could be okay, we need a good, solid RPG which has a co-op option!

Every time I run the game, it disconnects me from xbox live so I can't play it with the live connection. Well, this game has taught me the true meaning of LOCAL ONLY laugh

Edit: They've fixed the disconnection bug quickly after the release, so this game is now 'local only' in usual sense :)
