| More than anything else, I think the variation in potential play styles give Dishonored a level of replayability that is higher than most other games this season. |

| Choosing how you play sounds great but what normally happens with me is that I do something wrong whilst playing how I want to and just end up in a big fire/fist fight anyway. |

| I wish this would come out already. I've even stopped watching the videos so it won't influence the way I play. I'll let the achievements do that. |

| As far as single-player games go; this may be replacing Skyrim for me. Although there are still tons of other good games coming out this Fall. |

| As long as there are no achievements influencing how you play (Kill no one etc.) then this game will be amazing. This is the kind of game that achievements really could take the fun out of. |

I actually enjoy when games have achievements that reward alternate styles of play. Look at a game like http://www.trueachievements.com/Deus-Ex-Human-Rev/achie....htm. It had some great achievements (including my personal favorite, Foxiest of the Hounds in Deus Ex: Human Revolution) that rewarded different play styles. |

| The problem with these type of games is you usually have to play all different styles. Run and gun, Stealth, etc just to unlock stuff, wether it be achievements or in-game content. |

| That part about the Rat Mine was a great example of the open-ended play style. I'm quite looking forward to this, already pre-ordered months ago. |
(It's not a Star Wars reference.) |

I bought Revelations after hyping myself up for both Dishonored and Hitman and it failed to deliver (so much so that I traded it before finishing it). I've been tempted to buy Blood Money again but I rinsed it and can still remember most of the levels pretty clearly.
This is the next game I'm getting and the month seems too long. These types of games with the freedom of executing objectives in any way you can find are the exact games I love. That was one of the reasons Skyrim disappointed compared to Oblivion. It felt like there were less options of how you went about the missions.
I'm a little concerned that there aren't that many powers but I guess it is about how you use them. Game is paid in full. Just need to wait. |
