| I am a fan of the films though I have never played a James Bond game before - and I've been playing video games for almost 30 years! Maybe it's time to give one a go; I've heard good things over the past 10 years about Goldmember no, Goldfinger er, Goldeneye... |
You are the Detectives; go... and detect. |

I went from a boy to a man, just by turning on the game. The game was so awesome, Chuck Norris still plays it every day. That game, when thrown in a hole and covered with dirt, would sprout and turn into a giant redwood and then be climbed by King Kong.
In other words, that game was really fun. |
Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules. |

Really must start Goldeneye Reloaded... I love Bond games! This will be no exception - I shall be getting it for sure! Hopefully there won't be as many multiplayer achievements though... |
I like what I like and I don't what I don't. |

Maybe it's time to give one a go; I've heard good things over the past 10 years about Goldmember no, Goldfinger er, Goldeneye...As Delith mentioned, Goldeneye is the best Bond game ever made. However, you have to go into the game in 2012 with the knowledge that the game was made long before dual analog sticks were the norm. Given that, the game is heavy on auto-aim, and the 2 main control schemes have you either moving and turning with the control stick and using the C-buttons to strafe/look up/down OR looking with the control stick and using the C-buttons to move forward backward/strafe left/right (basically like our current setup, but with the movement being the right stick). In both setups, when you hold down the R (or aim) button the left stick aims and unlike todays shooters the reticule automatically resets to the center of the screen which can make strategic targeting a bit of a hassle. Just something I thought I'd mention after I saw an impression a while back from someone who never played goldeneye before and likely wasn't even born yet when the game came out. |
