NBA 2K13 Dev Diary Shows There's No 'I' in Team

Exploring the new 'myTEAM' mode

Up until now, 2K Sports has been providing us with a steady stream of developer diaries for their soon-to-be-released NBA 2K13. As a result, we've seen not one, but two videos about the title's gameplay, another video about the in-game animations, and, most recently, a dev diary touting the game's myCAREER mode.

Of course, focusing on your individual player's career is nice, but basketball is a team game, right? To that end, here's the fifth developer diary for NBA 2K13, featuring producer Erick Boenisch discussing the myTEAM mode.



NBA 2K13 is set for tip-off on October 2nd in North America and October 5th in Europe. This means you still have a couple of weeks to check out the available pre-order incentives.

Had this preordered wayback. Not sure about this mode though - sounds like FIFA Ultimate Team mode =/

I like the idea but after the server problems/stats keeping nightmares of 2K12 I'm not too confident they can handle the whole stockmarket ultimate team thing.

Any word on a demo btw?

Re Loch Doun: There will be 165G attached to playing online, 2 achievements for myTEAM (buy 15 boosters and play 1 game)

Re Mamba1983: There will be a demo released on 26/27 September, 1 quarter only, Miami vs OKC, online available.

Also, there will be 150G and 5 achievements for the All-Star weekend DLC giving a total of 1150G available for the game at launch.
