| I cancelled my pre order a few days ago because I refuse to pay another $50 on top of the half game we get. Big expansion coming in december, but they release the game on one disc. Guess the expansion pack will be the content that should be put on the 2nd disc! |

i love Forza, but now I'm gonna have to give this one a miss until the inevitable GotY version comes out with all the DLC.
$50 in MSP for the expansion plus 6 car packs means the expansion will probably be $30 by itself. Something tells me this won't be a good Shivering Isles $30 either. What can they expand? MOARRRR countryside? |

Am torn between anger and pity at the number of comments these days along the lines of "I love game X but I'm not going to pay X for X because [illogical reason]" Many people seem to want to not buy games they know they'll like and many people seem to simply not be able to afford things. It baffles me.
If someone said, "boy I love Forza but I won't be able to afford that Season Pass" it would be concerning but more understandable than "I love Forza but I refuse to pay ~RRP at launch". If your net profit at the end of a month is so small that you can afford either a game, or a season pass. You probably shouldn't (in terms of sensibility) be buying either.
To anyone saying "I won't pay X for Y because I don't feel it's worth it" you had better mean that and if you do - fine. But if you X was to become an infinitely small amount of your net worth, you would have to feel the same way. Else all you're really saying is "I won't pay X for Y as I can't afford it" and if that's the case - I pity you.
Relative to almost any other form of entertainment, video games are freakishly cheap.
If someone said "I'll be waiting for the GOTY/bundled edition of this game later in the year, because I still have loads of new games to play and don't need/want to start another one yet" that would make sense too. No point buying a game DAY1 and not playing it.
Bottom line is that the reasoning doesn't add up a large majority of the time. Maybe I have it wrong, maybe there is a reason for these bizarre comments. Right now though I'm comfortable saying "Just be honest with your comments and honest with yourself. Don't make excuses, there's no point." |

No matter what the season pass is cost that wont change my mind on the preorder. I dont know why people are canceling there preorder bc of the season pass. ITS not required for you to play the game. And its not like YOU HAVE TO BUY the season pass when you get it either. SO why cancel it. I been seening that all over the place people are like "im canceling bc thats to expensive for a season pass". Well THEN DONT BUY IT THEN. But the game looks awesome an its deff a day 1 for me. And I more than likely wont get the season pass if i see a car pack i like ill get it.
And i totally agree with ei8hty 88 ei8ht |

Season Passes are all the rage because devs know there are people f***ing stupid enough to buy them (do you all really go into a local store and pay for everything without knowing what you are getting?).
When you mention track list I assumed race tracks. Why so much music in a racing game, music is the last thing I care for when racing. Only in RPG's is the soundtrack important. |

That's all I have to say regarding racing games. RPGs though? Probably the genre where it's least important. Go play some Child of Eden, Jet Set Radio, Rock Band 3 or Silent Hill (1-3), get educated.
On the actual topic, 4000 points is absolutely ludicrous. Even if I was a die-hard fan (which I'm not), I'd never pay that much without knowing exactly what I'm getting. Especially not when you take into account that the season pass itself will probably go on sale for much lower than that within a few months. |

| FU** the season pass! As long as i can enjoy the fact of driving on the game, that's good enough for me. All that extra stuff is highly irrelevant to me. Huge marketing scheme but hey, to each is own. Consider me old school. |

| Quit crying nobody said you HAVE to buy the season pass. I am already paying $85 for the game and will most likely buy whatever else releases for it. |

| Dubstep and "indie" music that is played on the local pop radio stations...bah. DLC doesn't concern me at all, an easy skip, never had a shortage of cars in a game and if there is a specific car I have to have I will just buy that one. It isn't like they are shipping the game with three roads and you have to unlock the rest of them via DLC |

| I like their plan of business. Announce dlc that costs almost as much as the retail game, before the game is even out. |

People don't want to support a game that is made by people that treats their fans like morons. I'm guessing you would fit right in with the developers? How about you get some depth, and stop thinking with your fingers.

There are a bunch of whiny bitches on this site. Games have increased $10 in 16 years & are better than ever. They are offering you extras to extend your enjoyment of the game & you persecute them for it? Forza games(I'm going to assume this game will be) are always worth the money. If your playing them for the achievements only then you are doing it wrong.
Grow up & realize that all those price increases you've seen in your daily life have happened to them too but they continue to offer us games for only $10 more than I paid for Saturn games 16+ years ago while everything else has increased 100% or more.
Go find a new hobby, this one is far more value per dollar than anything else on earth that I've come across. DLC is optional, repeat optional.......I'll say that again.....OPTIONAL. Would you refuse to buy a car that you wanted/needed because they offered an upgraded interior or wing for extra money? How about a pair of shoes because they don't offer us all the shoe laces we'll ever need? Fucking silly claims here & you don't deserve this hobby if this is how you treat developers that are trying to improve your experience! |
