Rovio's Bad Piggies Gets Detailed

By Michelle Balsan, 4 years ago
Rovio's newest entry into the gaming landscape is, shocking, not another Angry Birds title. Unsurprisingly, however, it is set in the Angry Birds universe. Bad Piggies is a new title from the wildly successful studio that focuses on the lengths the Piggies will go through to claim those precious eggs. We learned the last time Rovio released a trailer that the gameplay will focus on building customizable vehicles to help the protagonists achieve their goal.

In Bad Piggies, players will be treated to more than 60 levels, with an additional 30 levels unlocked by getting three stars. The game also includes four sandbox levels, allowing gamers to create vehicles using the 33 available objects to their heart's content.

Here's a cinematic trailer for the upcoming Windows 8 and Windows Phone title:

Petri Järvilehto, Executive VP at Rovio, had the following to say about the upcoming game:
We’ve never done anything like this. Where Angry Birds was all about destruction, Bad Piggies is all about the joy of construction. It’s not just about getting three stars - in this game, failing is almost as much fun as succeeding!
