UK Deal Roundup for October 2nd, 2012

The best of the UK prices

Written by KeithBGray on 02 October 12 at 10:26

Blockbuster makes its first appearance in the UK Deal Roundup, thanks to a small group of good deals. The supermarkets appear to be keeping the bulk of the deals afloat this week. In particular, Tesco concentrates on pre-order deals yet again. If you've burnt out your current console since the last Holiday season, or just want an excuse to buy a new one, then head over to Zavvi.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices are correct at the time of writing, and subject to change at any time at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales

Blockbuster's "£20 and under" bargains have a few titles at good prices. http://www.trueachievements.com/GE-007-Reloaded/achieve....htm and http://www.trueachievements.com/PROTOTYPE2/achievements.htm at £17.98 each, as well as Ridge Racer Unbounded and The Darkness II at £14.98 are just some of the deals available.

Sainsbury's Games for Yourself deals return this week after a couple of weeks without a mention. http://www.trueachievements.com/AC-Revelations/achievem....htm is £13.99 (price matched by Amazon) and http://www.trueachievements.com/DisneyPixar-RUSH/achiev....htm is £16.99.

FIFA 13 is the subject of another different promotion with Tesco at the moment, following its much-anticipated release last week. The footballing sim can be snapped up for £29. You'll need to pick it up alongside one these items to take advantage of the reduced price though: 12 Months Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription for £34.97, 2100 Xbox LIVE MIcrosoft Points at £17.87 or 4200 Xbox LIVE MIcrosoft Points at £34.87.

What are are Tesco like for preorders? I've never used them before. I'm tempted by Dinhonored, but I'm don't care enough about the discount to risk getting a late delivery.

Anyone knows if the Amazon Borderlands 2 edition is the Premier Club Access edition (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005FUP03M/) ?
I'm gonna pick that up, but for the same price (extra £ or 2) I'd rather have some more content.

I've preordered from Tesco before and it came on release (sadly not a day or two early) and with this £5 off I'll be ordering Hitman and Farcry from there. Assassins Creed I'll probbly get from amazon unless It's much cheaper anywhere and then Halo 4 i'll get on release day. There's no way I could sit, waiting all day for the postman to bring that!
