Bug fixes, new maps, and matchmaking

Recently, via the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive blog, a new update was announced that is set to be live today.

The new update will address a lot of major bug issues that have been brought forth by the community, furthermore, fans can expect to receive a revised matchmaking system for the Classic Competitive Mode.

In addition to the above changes, two fan-favourite maps from the long running franchise will be added to the playlists. De Vertigo will be a classic map to some, while others it will be a new addition, and the close-quarters map Ar_Monastary will be the other new map associated with the update.

The full list of patch notes has not been released as of yet, but you can bet that when it is released the long-list of fixes will be similar to the recent update back on September 14th, and you can view the full list here.

As previously mentioned, the major update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has gone live and is waiting for you to go and round-up some kills on the new maps. For now the update is currently available for PC users and has not been added to the XBLA version. We will keep you posted should anymore news arise regarding the recent update.

Was hoping for cs_assualt and m4 to be tweeked to be more like the older model with added suppressor

They should add Team Deathmatch then it will be good. :) One life matches are lame imo.

Also loved vertigo, but ASSAULT was a Hostages map, something GO lacks right now.

Was about to go bed, but gonna start again my xbox to get the pacht and see if the maps are coming to everyone or just pc gamers. It'd be pure awesomeness if we got one or two maps FREE per patch, considering those are free on pc.

no patch nor new maps for the xbox 360 so far... quinda dissapointed after the expectations those "news" aroused.

Go back to CoD plz kthxbai.Kind of a dickish response really. Because somebody doesn't like a gamemode or a one death system doesn't mean they should change game if they enjoy the gameplay or the mechanics.

CS has always been one life. that's what makes it require skill.

Account Settings

Xbox live settings will need to be set up in the following way to allow TrueAchievements to scan your gamertag.

1. Log into https://live.xbox.com

2. Click on My Account in the top toolbar.

3. Scroll down to Settings and Preferences on the right hand side. Click on Privacy and Online Settings.

4. Scroll down to Privacy. You need to make sure that Profile Sharing and Game History is set to Everyone otherwise you will not be scanned.

These simple steps will allow TrueAchievements to scan your profile and update your achievements.
