| I wonder how they're going to make sure the game is easy to control with the lack of a mouse. |

I spent about 80 hours on the pc version and loved it (until the developer abandoned it) and im curious how mechanics such as grappling will translate onto a xbox controller. Will probably buy this regardless though. |

| Using a mouse is quick, like you need to be on Terraria at times, so I don't see how they'll make that part of the game Xbox friendly, I'll be picking this up for sure though. |

| There's going to be a lot of disappointed Terraria for Xbox 360 players when this releases. This isn't going to handle nearly as well as the PC version. |

| I wonder how the controls are. You use a mouse for pretty much everything in Terraria on PC, so I'm not sure...but definitely picking this up. Only have spent around 24 hours on the PC version, but it still is fun as all fun can be. |
Happy gaming!!! |

I get all of your points about the controls, a mouse is the ultimate precision you can have, but in this case, until I try it out myself, I feel it's just like asking "OMG Geometry Wars is so gonna suck since it doesn't have mouse+keyboard for precision!". Seeing the crosshair system, I personally think it's gonna be fine, since anyhow on the PC you often needed to aim OFF the ennemy anyways, with bombs for instance. And btw, I'm pretty sure you'll be using RT to fire and LT to jump, so you can "dual-analog" just fine.
/113 hours played, still playing for pure FUN with friends on PC.

| i think they SHOULD implement mouse controls... i mean it is not impossible. i can use my keyboard for xbox why not my mouse as well. But as it was stated before it wouldnt be bad without one, assuming they dont mess up the whole thing :P |

Is that what you were refering to? Otherwise, quick hook reflexes might be even better on an analog, due to how a quick thumb-flick can be faster than a controlled mouse-move.
My feelings, at least. :)

- Vince989I agree 100%. That being said, I am pretty freaking excited for this. |

I can totally see how everything could easily convert to a controller... except the main part of the game. Placing and mining blocks.
At any given time you can choose to mine one of of like 20 blocks of various distances and angles away from you in your immediate vicinity, and I don't see a good way to choose which one with a controller.
Just watched the trailer, and I'm still not satisfied, since they don't show the cursor moving.
If I'm mining a gold deposit abutting a lava pit, I need that precision. I guess I'll withhold full judgement until I see the system, but I'm very wary. |
