Whether you are a fan of the movies, books, or you enjoyed playing with LEGO as a child, the upcoming release of LEGO Lord of the Rings is sure to be one entertaining journey for the kid in all of us.

Recently, the final developer diary from Traveller's Tales has risen from the ashes of Mordor and gives us gamers the insight on all of the goodies we can expect whether you play solo or with a friend.

LEGO Lord of the Rings is set to release sometime this Fall.

Jake2355 - I'll be buying Xbox One well after it's released. Not buying something that will inevitably have problems at launch.

I'm just a LEGO junkie myself. I'll get this, but first I need to play star wars 2, star wars 3, indiana jones 2, batman 2, and pirates. It just never ends.

They just keep rolling out the games! How many people are in TT studio? Every game they make is really good, and there are like 2 per year...

So far there wasn't a LEGO "adventure" game that I didn't like. As much as I don't care for Pirates of the Caribbean but the LEGO version made it fun enough to play. Most likely the same thing will be for Lord of the Rings since I don't care for the storyline.

Looking forward to this, but really hope the put back in the ability to fix the splitscreen, so its not spinning all over the place. The had removed it for Batman 2 which made it more of a pain to play.

My wife and I walked away from the Lego games after Indiana Jones 2. The series seemed to have reached the point of just be the same thing over and over again but with different characters (a hub with attached "Acts", complete Jedi/Wizard/Adventurer, collect red bricks, collect gold bricks etc).

The free roam in Batman 2 almost tempted us back to the fold, but didn't quite succeed.

The subject matter of Lego LotR is tempting, but I can't say I'm "excited" for this...
