Mass Effect 3: Omega Priced & Dated

Mass Effect 3: Omega Priced & Dated

The war for Omega begins

Written by Mr J Muffin on 12 October 12 at 19:10

BioWare has released the juicy info for the latest Mass Effect 3 single-player DLC, "Omega". Previously announced right after the co-founders left BioWare, little to no details had been given out. Until now.

Soldiers of the Milky Way,

Disturbing reports from the Citadel suggest that something big is about to go down. If our Intel is accurate, Aria is on the move. This was anticipated, as we did not expect her to sit idly by while Cerberus ran roughshod over Omega. With her biotic capabilities and well-documented mean streak, what happens next won’t be pretty.

Our informants believe that Aria intends to seek out Commander Shepard for assistance. We are aware of the Commander’s ties to Aria, but are unclear about how deep they run. What we do know is that Aria will be relentless in her fight to take back Omega, and with the Commander at her side, she may very well be unstoppable.

We will be observing this situation closely as it develops. Continue to monitor this channel for further communication.
"Omega" is due out November 27th, and will cost you a big chunk of 1200 MSP and, assuming Microsoft keeps up the same pattern, this DLC will more than likely include achievements. Stay tuned to the front page as more info may be released. No, really. Don't leave the computer, don't even leave the page. Stay here.

Cool news, hopefully it's worth the points. I felt Leviathan should have been 560 and not 800 MSP.

I am waiting for the complete pack to come out. We all know it will. Same reason I am getting Battlefield 3 Premium Edition instead of paying MSP. It's actually cheaper if you only own one DLC so far.

Mass Effect 2, which had mountains of DLC, never got a complete edition. The closest they got was the ps3 version which didn't even include Arrival.

As for everyone on the fence about the price, I'll be getting it day one and writing up a review of it after I'm done with it. Did the same with Leviathan, so if you want to wait until I get that done before deciding if you should buy or not, I'll make sure it's done pronto.

Yeah, the Retaliation DLC which added the Collectors as a new enemy faction and tons of new races and classes, including the Volus, came out Tuesday. It, like the rest of the multiplayer DLC, is free.

1200MSP is a lot for a single-player add-on... screw it, I'm gonna go for it, but if it's not only lengthy but outstanding as well, then I'll be skeptical to buying any more of the add-ons for Mass Effect 3. I bought Leviathan and it was pretty good. It would have been better at 560MSP since it was fairly short but oh well. I hope this will be great.
