Serious Sam 3: BFE Jewel of the Nile DLC Trailer

Whoa! Let me start the main game first!

Croteam have released a new trailer for their upcoming title, Serious Sam 3: BFE. The video showcases the enemies and mayhem to come from the incoming "Jewel of the Nile" DLC pack. Just when Sam thought it was time to kick off his boots, put the heavy weaponry down and take a nice soak in the hot tub, he gets called in for not one, but three more, all-new missions:

Serious Sam 3: BFE and its DLC pack, the "Jewel of the Nile", are all set to hit the XBLA Marketplace tomorrow for 1200 MSP each.

damnit

i'm broke, can't afford MSP for SS3 & DLC on XBLA...and don't have £7.50 for the DLC on steam.....nooooooooooooooooo....waiting is my worst fear.....

to anyone buying SS3, ignore the first few levels, it gets a lot better, they just tried to be clever by taking the piss, and drew it out for too long

2400 MSP gets you only 250 Gs??? That is pretty weak.

Of course there are many persons who think any digital content should be $5 or less no matter how beefy the content is but that their right to think so i can't complain no matter how much i may disagree.

So what monetary value you put to something will always be subjectve, just don't act like a prick or a douchebag when stating it

So wait, is this just the multiplayer add-on DLC, or that and more?

I don't see how he was being a prick or a douchebag with his comment (if you were referring specifically to his comment, that is) but I think the point he brings up is valid for this particular case - the DLC add-on for this game costs as much as the game itself, which usually isn't the case with Arcade DLCs as they historical contain less content than the core game (Episodic series like Walking Dead notwithstanding).

You would think if they were planning on charging the same price for the SS3 BFE DLC as the core game, they would have just opted to release the campaign missions and multiplayer content separately (looking at the DLC achievements seem to indicate a number of the usual multiplayer arenas) at lower individual price points - say 800msp and 400msp. I think two pieces of lower-priced DLC would seem more enticing to buyers than 1 piece of DLC charged at the same price as the full game, regardless of how much actual content is included.

Yeah, they split the single player content and MP content, with the "main" game being just the SP content (for 1200 MSP) and the "DLC" which has all of the MP content on it is also 1200 MSP.

It's a weird strategy.

@Dog of Thunder, the reason behind them splitting ti is because of MS's retarded 2gb limit for downloads on XBLA, so they had to do it in 2 parts.

the cost, is still less than it is on the PC in total...i bough SS3 for i forget if it was £20 or £30, and i still have to buy the DLC for £7.50....oh, and the multiplayer is included with your DLC too, which was just a part of the main game for PC, hence PC being £20 + £7.50, rather than 1200MSP + 1200MSP as it is for xbox......if you work it out, xbox has a bargain price saving £7.50

I'm going to wait for a DotW or silimar offer then, also, I was kinda hoping they'd release it on disc like the Serious Sam HD games, but since this 1200MSP DLC is only about 216MB big, I doubt it.

Maybe they could make a Serious Sam 2 HD remake and bundle it on a disc with this one, so as to offer the complete series on modern consoles?

My prick comment wasn't directed to him, he was just asking a question. It was to others who i feel sometimes are pretty stuck up when it comes to it.

I think it would've been good if they didn't release the game on XBLA
