Original Story:

Last week treated players to a fifth character class in Borderlands 2. For some people, seven days was more than enough time to get used to the Mechromancer and her robot buddy, so the new campaign content that has been released today will be an ideal replacement. Join Captain Scarlett and her band of pirates in the search for hidden treasure across the (dried-up) ocean. "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" adds three new achievements worth a total of 125G.

Enter the hostile wastelands of Pirate Bay in search of ancient treasure buried somewhere in the waste, a cache that would make even the most stoic of Pandora explorers hunger for its discovery. It's rumored to be guarded by the largest, most vicious creature on Pandora – but that shouldn't deter a real adventurer... featuring new wasteland locations, new enemies, new quests, and much more loot!


Players who have purchased the Season Pass are now able to download the content for free through the game itself. Unfortunately, Microsoft are yet to release the DLC onto the Marketplace for those people who haven't purchased the Season Pass. We'll be sure to update the article when the content becomes available for everybody. Until then, have a look at this nine minute gameplay walkthrough instead and let Gearbox's Jonathan Hemingway give you some tips and tricks.



Those of you who really can't wait for the DLC can download the Season Pass from here at a cost of 2400 MSP.

I am GLAD that people who haven't purchased the Season Pass have to wait. That is the way it should be with ALL DLC when a Season Pass has been purchased and it is included in the Season Pass.

I play this game with my 2 friends who have the game, and we have yet to get to level 50. Once we get to 50 we will play this dlc.

Pirate theme dlc is really cool and I am not complaining, but being the month of halloween and all I would have thought they would have pushed a Transylvania type dlc. That would have been pretty cool I think. Have Dracula, the Wolfman, and Frankenstein in it.
