In a new video for WWE '13, Senior Game Designer Bryan Williams excitedly takes us through some of the changes and improvements made to the Creation Suite for the wrestling sequel. For those of you who can't or won't watch the video, I've broken down the changes that Bryan covers.

Create-a-Superstar
• The colour wheel makes a return for choosing skin tone
• Logo and tattoo transparency makes a return
• Boots & Kickpad allows you to add and customise kickpads over boots

Create-a-Moveset
• Package Piledriver has been added to the custom finisher creator
• You can now assign custom-made moves as Signature Moves, as well as Finishers
• Around 300 new moves have been added, including the Inverted Frankensteiner and Teardrop Suplex
• You can now fully customise the Limb Target moveset

Story Designer
• A bunch of new scenes have been added to flesh out the drama, some of which are tailored to specific superstars, whilst others can be used with any superstars
• Branching options have been added so you can dictate how scenes develop

Create-an-Arena
• You can customise many different elements of the stage design, as well as venue size and crowd type
• Custom arenas can now be used in online matches

As well as this video, THQ have revealed a breakdown of the superstar stats for the game. Pull up a comfy chair, this year's roster is a long one.

I particularly find it interesting how the current superstars compare to their "Attitude Era" versions: Triple H, Edge, Kane, Chris Jericho and others seem to have improved over the years, whereas others, such as The Rock, Lita and Undertaker, have seemingly slipped in quality since their 1990s golden age.

WWE '13 will be slamming onto the mat on October 30th.

Until you notice that John Cena is currently rated higher than HBK, Bret Hart, SCSA, Chris Jericho in their prime. Thank god for stat editor!

Jericho, Edge, & Christian improved alot from the Attitude Era and got pushes afterwards explaining their rating, whereas a guy like Undertaker or The Rock, hardly performs anymore. Ratings are fine.

Note, Attitude Era Kane is actually ranked higher than present-Kane instead of the other way around when you postulate at the bottom of the article laugh

This is an awesome list ... but four important names aren't there:
1) The Dudley Boys- WWE still owns the rights to the "Dudley" trademark, so there's no reason not to include them.
2) Muhammed Hassan- This man was going to be one of the greatest heel wrestlers ever ... until he was shunned by the racist media, he deserves a spot on this roster.
3) Chris Benoit- If Mike Tyson can get on this roster despite the crimes he has commited, then so should Benoit.
4) Owen Hart- He was a great technical wrestler, and died working for WWE ... the least they can do is include him into this roster.
Aside from those discrepancies, an all-around excellent roster list.

While I know the legality with him in TNA, the lack of the Hardy Boyz is a big blow to an Attitude Era game. Jeff's TNA contract is up in Februrary, so if he does decide to jump ship, maybe they'll find it worthwhile to include them as DLC.

Chris Benoit will never be in anything WWE ever again, words that come straight from Linda McMahon. So long as she's running for US Senate, the WWE will remain in the state it is. As for Owen hart, his wife still suspects foul play over his death, and as she owns all the rights to Owen Hart, she will never let him be featured by WWE again. If you've ever listened, when ever the Harts are mentioned, it's Bret, Jim Neidhart, and Stu. Never Owen. Which is a shame.

Ok, let's see....

1. With TNA suing WWE over contract tampering, I think they will want to steer clear of most anything TNA.

2. Since the Attitude Era started in 1998 (arguably 1997) and pretty much ended with WWE's purchase of WCW in 2001, Muhammad Hassan does not make the Attitude Era cutoff. he also has not made much of in impact in the grand scale of WWE. I was a huge fan of Hassan, and would love to see him in a WWE game, but it will not happen.

3. Last I recall, Mike Tyson did not kill his wife, child and himself. I am not attempting to take away from the brutal and senseless nature of rape, but I'm pretty sure that murder is worse.

4. From what I understand, Owen Hart has not been in any WWE games since WWF Attitude is due to his wife not wanting him in any games (much like Andre the Giant's family in recent years.) I recall THQ saying this about both Owen and Andre being absent from the Smackdown/WWE series of games.

1) Yes there IS a reason. WWE will not use TNA talent in their games, regardless of naming rights, they don't want to give publicity to another company's workers. This gets explained 8 billion times every year.
2) He was well post-attitude era and well pre-current era. As much as I loved the guy, he has no reason to be in this game.
3) Again, I'd love to see him in, but WWE has already said publicly they were cutting all ties with Benoit. Even DVDs he was featured in have been mostly taken off the market, they list people to accomplish things without naming him, he's never going to get any credit from them again. Abandon hope.
4) "The least they could do" is irrelevent, as this is not their choice. The WWE have reached out to Martha Hart, Owen's widdow, on multiple occasions for try and include him in things because she technically holds the rights to his name and likeness. She won't let them use it. That's why he's never in games, isn't in the HoF, etc.
Most of the names on your list would be fun to play with, but all are easily explained with a little common sense or 2 minutes on google.

By every even remotely official account, including EVERY SINGLE TIME the WWE has discussed it, they say the event that really kicked off the attitude era was the infamous Austin 3:16 speech following Stone Cold's victory at King of the ring in *drum roll*..... 1996. Hell, even the time being used for the attitude era mode runs from late 96/early 97 to 1999.

I have no idea where you got these "facts" but it's obviously nowhere reputable.

I think I'm happy with this for the most part, but some of these are kinda confusing. Funkasaurus, Khali, Tensai and Del Rio seem a bit high to me, and Sandow seems a little too low. Nice to see Dolph gradually getting better from game to game though.

Of course, all of this doesn't matter that much to me, I'm still going to be exclusively playing my Jushin Liger CAW! :)
