Battlefield 3 Aftermath Premiere Trailer

The time has come for DICE's next DLC expansion to shine under the media spotlight as a new trailer has been released for "Aftermath" in Battlefield 3. Unless you were crazy enough to traverse the huge maps of "Armored Kill" on foot, then you may have found yourself getting rather comfortable in the many heavy vehicles on offer from the most recent DLC pack. All the luxury of full equipment, tanks, choppers, and even quads will be almost non-existent in this upcoming DLC as players will fight for survival within a post-earthquake Iran.

Taking the fight to the enemy without your hard-earned equipment will be a part of a new upcoming game mode featured within this DLC: Scavenger mode. This mode will see the struggling soldiers who've survived the earthquake starting out with just their trusty knife, a single grenade, and a sidearm. Speed and efficient teamwork will lead to success in this new mode as players will need to search the destroyed environment in order to find and equip more powerful weapons.

If this doesn't sound like your kind of game mode, you'll be glad to know that the original modes such as Conquest and Rush will still be available to play in the new DLC. New heavily-modified vehicles will be available and ready to roll out, along with a new crossbow for soldiers to equip and use too. The "Aftermath" DLC will come with four new maps, but details on these maps, as well as upcoming "new vehicles", are still yet to be revealed. Check out the trailer for a taste of the intense urban warfare to come:

Battlefield 3's "Aftermath" DLC expansion is set for a ground-breaking release on December 4th for Premium members. Those who don't own a Premium membership will get to take part in the action on December 18th for the price of 1200 MSP.
