BioShock Infinite Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

BioShock Infinite Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

As if you needed another excuse to pre-order

Irrational Games and their publisher 2K really want you to pre-order BioShock Infinite. Now, I can tell what you're thinking:

Thank you, Captain Obvious, any other nuggets of wisdom for today?...and you're absolutely right to do so, but hear me out. They want you to pre-order their highly-anticipated followup to BioShock so much that they're including a bonus game that will earn you in-Infinite cash and items if you pre-order. As revealed today on their official site those who pre-order BioShock Infinite from participating retailers will get access to BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution.

BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution (developed by Lazy 8 Studios, in close collaboration with Irrational Games) is described with the following:

BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution is a puzzle game in which you assume the role of a factory worker within the sky-city of Columbia. You complete increasingly difficult puzzles while learning more about the warring factions in the game and earning in-game rewards.

There are nearly 60 puzzles to play, and they are all FREE!
They've also released several screenshots of the game.

As of this time, a few of the "participating retailers" seem to include: GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Target, and the Irrational Games Store. As always, see the external link for full details and be sure to check with your retailer of choice if you're interested!

BioShock Infinite is set for a February 26th, 2013 release.

Though the FAQs state:

FAQs said:Is it part of BioShock Infinite? Will it ever be offered for sale? Can I buy the in-game items or grab them in a later edition?

Industrial Revolution is not offered for sale as a standalone game, it is not part of BioShock Infinite, and we currently have no plans for its content to be used elsewhere.
I'm sure the incentive to buy a game at $60 when I normally wait till it drops to $20 won't be worth it ($40 worth of content basically) for me, and I also would like to bet on the hope that it may be eventually available for non-pre-orderers.

I've already got a pre-order for this. Guess I need to go back to the store and ask for my code. That forum you link to above says they'll have to cancel and re-enter the preorder, but whatever works.

Lol, thats actually pretty nice. I might do what i did for Dishonored, pre order, play for about 2 weeks and turn it back in. Renting nowadays is too expensive without having to tie yourself down to a membership of some sort and definitely not enough time to play it. So it'd be like paying $30 for it if i turn it back in. Not bad.
