Columbia Shines in New BioShock Infinite Screens

Also, ice cream!

Much like a nomad who has wandered through the desert wastes to arrive upon a gleaming oasis of water, food, and exotic beauties, gamers have made it through the long period of media silence on BioShock Infinite and have arrived in a paradise of new assets. Last week, the news dropped on the two Collector's Editions that have gamers salivating, and yesterday we brought you the amazing "Beast of America" trailer and shared the pre-order bonus of BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution.

Today, Irrational is dropping a few more nuggets of happy into our lives in the form of three new screenshots showing off the glorious, sky-bound city of Columbia.

Already got the Songbird edition and Skyhook on preorder. These next 4 months can't go by quickly enough.

It will be interesting to see how the game plays seeing as the setting is basically the opposite of the original. Bright open skies, the impression of freedom (from the setting, of course) and the ability to go anywhere (via skyhook), as opposed to the dark, oppresive corridors of Rapture.

Lurking a little below the surface is the same type of oppression (in a way) as what we experienced in Rapture.

It might not be as claustrophobic, but it will still pack a punch.

This may be the best game of 2013. And I'm a hardcore Dead Space fan too.
