Most of the games I bought ranging from 400 to 800 MSP, and rarely 1,200 (unless I find it worth to own it). I'm not a fan of this type of game, but at least I can give it a chance to play the trial when I have time. |

Online matches and tournaments - You're a pool playing ninja. You know it. Your family and friends know it. Now some complete stranger half way round the world can know it too. Take on all-comers in either single matches or online tournaments. Soon the whole world will know the name... The Rottler

| I enjoy a good pool game and the XBLA has really been needing a good pool game. Bankshot Billiards for me never really cut it. I think this one just might ;) |

I used to be a hell of a pool player. Played every week and beaten only twice since 1996. Strictly 9-ball. I have loved playing it on computer games too since childhood, but there's been nothing great recently. I have one of the WSC games but it somewhat neglects the Pool side of things.
I have Bankshot Billiards too, I'm world number 1 in Time Trials on that - a pretty unassailable score too I must say. World number 2 at trick shots. But the actual gameplay in it is a little simplistic. Basic graphics and good if somewhat exaggerated physics.
It's about time we had a really good Pool game. There have been a couple of good ones at retail I think but they rarely get released outside of the US because the rest of the world don't play Pool, right? Wrong.
Good thing this is XBLA because it means we get it this side of the pond. I'll have my points ready. |

When I noticed that Mastertronic were developing this I started doing some serious reminiscing. Some of the best Spectrum games in the 80's were developed by Mastertronic, and I started having flashbacks to classics such as Soul of a Robot and Boulder Dash. I then realised that it can't be the same company after not having heard anything of them for the best part of 25 years!!
Having said that, I am still intrigued to see if this will be a quality Pool game - if so, I will certainly be getting it! |
