Halo 4 Gameplay Enters the Vortex

Conspiracy theorists would have you believe that everybody who is currently playing Halo 4 is a pirate. While there are undoubtedly some people who are making use of the illegal leaked copies of the game, the above theory isn't true as there are also numerous tightly controlled review copies out in the wild too. Of course, the team behind Halo Waypoint don't really need a review copy to be able to upload a video of a Big Team Infinity Slayer game on the Vortex map.

Vortex is one of the ten multiplayer maps that will be launching with the game at the start of next month and it supports Dominion and vehicular play. The multi-tiered map has upper and lower paths to link the bases together with plenty of rocky cover for infantry and vehicle lanes underneath the central Forerunner structure. The power vehicles are located in the cave and side bases and there are various ordnance drop locations. The central structure, complete with sniper spots, can be accessed by ramps, man cannons and gravity lifts but much of the base is only accessible from inside. All bases have multiple entry points.

The Forerunner structures which occupy Requiem’s equatorial caverns appear to generate power by harnessing its violent squalls. Onsite personnel believe that a full understanding of such a technology would offer the UEG substantial amounts of affordable, clean energy. Nevertheless, its internal mechanisms remain enigmatic.

If that isn't enough gameplay footage, check out this gameplay trailer showing Master Chief as he meets a new threat on Requiem:

Those players who are chomping at the bit to play the game will have to wait until November 6th, when the game hits retailers worldwide.
