| Interesting, it has been almost 9 years since People Can Fly released the first Painkiller on PC with DreamCatcher games as the publisher. Since then the landscape of this IP has changed some but not to terribly. It still kept the over the top serious sam aspects and crazy levels. I really enjoyed the first game and the add on People Can Fly worked on. Seeing as this came out of left field good to see the IP is still alive. |

| Well this one looks like it took a few steps away from the norm. Will have to give it a look when I get a better laptop suited for games. |
I may or may not have been Izuna Dropped on my head as a child. |

oh yeah, its out tomorrow on steam i think, shame i forgot to format my PC ready for it
thanks chewie, i'd forgotten about my preorder until i saw this post
@iheartslampigs if you're going to play PC version, maybe the original would be better, (a lot of it is based around speed jumping on higher difficulties, and i'm not sure how it will work with the unreal engine, as SJ'ing was a "feature" of the id tech engine used originally)
oh, and this is what most FPS's were like before CoD & halo destroyed the scene by being either slow, or all about camping
now i demand HD kingpin & soldier of fortune....oh, and unreal 3 whatever happened to that, i read an article about it 10 years ago, then after many years, UT3 came out, then gears became successful, and it appears they've ditched the franchise entirely |

hey digi, my bad, it just worked like an id tech engine
it's one of the few games i never bothered probing the console commands etc, thats where you find out the base engine generally based on what commands are used...then again, this was back in the days when companies could afford to make their own engines , and when programmers knew what they were doing, before the mental push for grapics took over and games became mediocre, but shiny |

Sadly, painkiller was still funner, so i will be buying this without hesitation. screw cover/ downsight aiming. |
