Jason Pawhees and ball customisation

Written by punkyliar on 31 October 12 at 17:14

This week there are DLC releases for two XBLA games. Neither of the games add extra achievements to their lists nor are they region exclusive. Here is this week’s list:

Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise
• "Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise - Jason Pawhees Costume“ – 80 MSP
Paradise Island is the perfect holiday destination, but every holiday camp needs a Jason Pawhees lurking in the bushes waiting to be naughty. This costume contains a Naughty Mask, Naughty Overhalf and Naughty Blue Jeans. And as a bonus you are getting also the Jason's Crude Machete, because it would be a crime to separate a bear from his beloved machete!Pool Nation
• "Cues, Balls and Decals Pack“ – 80 MSP
Customise your game even more with 12 new ball sets, 10 new unique designer cues and 16 table decals.

I love Naughty Bear, the DLC may not have entirely original names, but the game itself is very enjoyable.

I snagged the Jason Pawhees Costume as soon as I saw the story. It super cool for a Halloween costume for Naughty.

More Naughty Bear DLC just in time for Halloween but I am surprised they didn't release the Scream costume in time for Halloween. I am glad they released Freddy and Jason outfits as DLC for this since I missed out on them as pre-orders for the first game. Too bad they didn't make this DLC work on the first game as well they would probably get a lot more buyers.

o RedDeadDan o said:Is pool nation any good?Belatedly (having just seen this linked from the sidebar of the Pool Nation page), yes, it is, if you like computer pool. It's only the mix of games that you can do with a regular US pool table and 15 balls (8-ball, 9-ball, and a few other variations), nothing wild like bumper pool or anything from a different family like snooker, which is a shame. But for what it is, it's an excellent computer pool game. If anything, it's a bit too easy by default, due to the aiming guides, but you can turn them off if you want.

Warning: there are multiplayer achievements. They're not too ridiculous, but they're there. Also, some of the achievements will require quite a bit of time and/or skill.

That said, the DLC seems kind of pointless to me.
