Magical Drop V Confirmed for XBLA

Golgoth Studios has a very clear take on the present gaming landscape, as noted in their company motto. "2D refuses to die". To that end, the developer has revealed that they will be working with publusher UTV Ignition to bring the 2D puzzler, Magical Drop V, to XBLA in the near future.

For those of you unfamiliar with the franchise, Magical Drop is a puzzler with many similarities to PUZZLE BOBBLE Live!. Your goal is to shoot colored bubbles at a grid of other bubbles in an attempt to match three or more of the same color. Doing that removes bubbles and you'll need to either outlast an opponent or to clear the grid to claim victory. Magical Drop V promises to bring several gameplay types to the table, including Team Battle, a Co-op Mode, and, of course, online play.

Here's a trailer so you can see the game in its sometimes-frenetic action:

You can go right ahead and ignore the release date at the end of the trailer, as it's intended for the upcoming Steam release of the title. The XBLA version does not yet have a date, but promises all the same features as the Steam edition. When we have release date details, we'll be sure to share them with you.
