UK Deal Roundup for November 20th, 2012

The best of the UK prices

Written by kbgray27 on 20 November 12 at 09:51

I hope you have some cash left over from the season of blockbuster titles, as this week bears witness to, by far, the busiest week for new deals since my tenure as the UK Deals writer began.

Amazon, Base, GAME, Play, ShopTo and Zavvi all combine to bring a massive amount of deals. Each retailer either brings a new promotion to the table or has made significant updates to existing offers. There's also extras from other retailers.

As if that's not enough already, ASDA and GameStop are both teasing us about respective special Black Friday promotions they have planned for the upcoming weekend!

All prices are correct at the time of writing, and subject to change at any time at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales

Amazon's Special Offer categories have been refreshed again this week. The under £10 section includes DiRT Showdown at £7.30, Rise of Nightmares for £7.02 and http://www.trueachievements.com/Your-Shape-FE-2012/achi....htm (Classics) at £9.97.

Meanwhile, the £10 to £20 category seems to like being athletic, as London 2012: The Official Video Game is available for £20.

Finally, being prepared to part with £20 to £30 gives you the chance to net the Angry Birds Trilogy for £21.59 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for £21.90.

ASDA is hosting a Black Friday Weekend bonanza, from Friday through Monday. At the time of this article's publication, no deals have been revealed. There's not even a sneak peek at this stage, but the retailer does advise the following: "...will run daily Black Friday products available for 24 hours, so you must check back with us every day". Make sure that you're paying attention across the weekend, as there's likely to be some spectacular deals!

Base's long-standing, under £10 promotion has been updated. Def Jam: Rapstar comes in at £8.99. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 (Warning: this has unobtainable achievements!) and the Xbox LIVE Hits Collection (includes Limbo, Splosion Man and Trials HD) are both £9.99.

GAME's Up to 50% Off promotion returns again this week, but with new deals to boot. The highlights are as follows:
Driver: San Francisco - £12.99
Forza Motorsport 4 - £12.99
Kinect Nat Geo TV - £9.99
Kinect Sesame Street TV - £9.99
Mass Effect 3 - £17.99
SSX - £17.99
Toy Story 3 - £12.99

GameStop is another retailer that is banging the Black Friday drum. In a similar fashion to ASDA, there's no access to the actual deals at the time of publication, but there is a nice countdown timer to help us keep track of when the bargain-hunting action will begin. GameStop is encouraging consumers to sign up to their official Newsletter or keep an eye on the site's social media outlets to make sure you're in the know.

Play's Top Christmas Offers include Max Payne 3 at £14.99 and Men In Black: Alien Crisis for £9.99.

ShopTo's Sale has made a comeback! Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (PC) is £14.86, but unfortunately it is the only title worth mentioning from the PC section. Thankfully, the Xbox 360 category is more promising though. Here's a breakdown of the some of the games that are included:
BioShock 2 - £7.85
http://www.trueachievements.com/Carnival-Games/achievem....htm - £6.85
http://www.trueachievements.com/DEATHSMILES-PAL/achieve....htm (Deluxe Edition) - £12.85
Forza Motorsport 3 - £9.85
007: Quantum of Solace - £9.85

ShopTo seems to be building some momentum this week. As well as the Sale, the retailer's Xbox 360 Hot Deals will be hoping to burn a hole in our wallets/purses.
Battlefield 3 - £19.85
Lollipop Chainsaw - £13.85
Spec Ops: The Line (FUBAR Edition) - £16.85
Virtua Tennis 4 - £8.86
The X Factor (Game Only) - £3.85
Only http://www.trueachievements.com/Dawn-of-War-II/achievem....htm at £4.85 makes a worthwhile appearance in the Hot Deals for PC.

TheHut is offering 2000 Microsoft Points for £14.95.

Zavvi's Driving & Racing promotion has been cruising along quite smoothly in recent weeks. It's now time for a gear change and the deals are following suit. DiRT 3 is £8.45. F1 2010 and F1 2011 (PC) are £9.95. Both F1 titles are price matched by TheHut.

Zavvi's Gaming Accessories sale has official black wireless Xbox 360 controllers for £21.95 each. In addition, you can grab a 12-month Xbox LIVE subscription card for £29.95.

In some ways Agent 47 will be hoping that you're not paying attention, but you should note that Zavvi has the killer's latest assignment available for £31.79. Hitman: Absolution releases today!

Zavvi's New Releases section has F1 Race Stars for £27.95, Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package at £29.85 and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for £24.95. All three of those titles are price matched by TheHut.

The Xbox 360 section of Zavvi's Price Drop promotion is sporting a few big deals this week.
Dead or Alive 5 - £19.95
NBA 2K13 - £24.95
Resident Evil 6 (Steelbook Edition) - £26.95
XCOM: Enemy Unknown - £24.95

To be fair, Dixons, Currys and PC World all had different prices before they combined, and Game and Gamestation did too. ;)
