I am officially not watching anymore videos for this. I want to be surprised somewhat when it drops by being in the unknown.
I downloaded the demo and loved it. Definitely a day one purchase. |

btt: Demo was great and showed that Ninja Theory knows how to make a Game that even isn't their own IP,good job!
Sadly, comments like the above are the reason why the Game maybe will not sell enough copies and NT gets shut down forever, like all the other good studios! |

Played the demo and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Definitely the most fluid combo system in DMC to date. Can't wait for the full game to drop. |

GuardianE9999 said:Demo was sluggish and awful.Agreed. The style meter is completely broken and easy to abuse (it doesn't drain, plus you can get SSS in a single move if you time it right, which is ridiculous, even on Son of Sparda) and there's infinite air juggles which allow you to stay airborne forever and lift enemies up to you, who won't be able to touch you at all. Air combos in general have been far too streamlined, it's way too easy. Enemy move telegraphy is a joke as well. They might as well be using megaphones to signal that they're about to attack.
Jump canceling and canceling in general seems wonky (and you're not allowed to cancel certain moves period for some odd reason) and the lack of lock-on is saddening. A minor gripe is that I'm also missing the ability to taunt, but I could've lived without that if not for the other major faults. And, ofcourse... dat framerate. I don't know what Itsuno was smoking, but it doesn't feel like 60 FPS at all.
It's a serviceable, if not decent action game, but a terrible Devil May Cry game from my point of view.
Also, just in case it wasn't clear; opinions. |

Also, just in case it wasn't clear; opinions. For a gamer who can't even finish DMD mode on DMC4 this is good news to achieve high ranking combos. Perhaps they might have dumbed it down for the plebs like myself or it was an average performing (FPS-wise) demo only? |

Perhaps they might have dumbed it down for the plebs like myself or it was an average performing (FPS-wise) demo only? You won't have any problems getting S+ combos in the demo, and I'm reasonably sure it'll stay the same for final release. You can sit on an S combo until you grow a long beard; it won't go away unless you get hit. Goes for any letter, though.
Plus if you do a perfect devil dodge you substantially increase the amount of style you get from any attack (another strange addition, imo, since it encourages people to stand still and be on the defensive until they get that effect. It practically removes the incentive to be on the offense and to be stylish. Now if you want a high ranking, fast, you can simply mash buttons ((which works, it won't penalize you for repeating moves, or at least stop points from going into the total)) in short bursts and then wait for the dodge).
You should try it when and if you get the chance in the demo. Perhaps you'll enjoy it better than the more strict rules the other games have.
They did mention they wanted the people who had issues with older DMC games feel more at home with this one, to make it more accessible. What grinds my gears though, is that they also said the hardcore fan would be able to get their fix too. Not the case, for me at least. I'm getting massive DMC2 vibes... (where it feels too easy.)
FPS was all over the place. But I can chalk the drops of FPS to demo build issues, sure. |

| Wow I was not sure what to expect with Ninja Theory heading up this type of game but they have surpased my expectations many times over. I think they are one of the better developers out there but this iis a huge risk for them and the seem to have pulled it off if the demo is anything to judge their efforts by. i will b playing this demo many many times and getting that S. |
