Dishonored Gets Patched

By Jonathan Barnes, 4 years ago
Bethesda has been nothing if not pleased with the critical and commercial success of Arkane Studios' stealth-revenge joint, Dishonored. With DLC on the way and more to come, the publisher and developer weren't content to sit on their laurels and have taken the initiative to patch a few bugs and help polish some of the rougher areas of the game. As such, the next time you boot up the game, you'll be prompted to download title update 1.2 which will fix the following issues:

•Game Settings are now saved and restored properly even when using Steam offline.
•Fixes for some interactions with Granny Rags that invalidated nonlethal playthroughs under certain circumstances. (Note: These fixes work even for savegames AFTER the final Granny Rags encounter.)
•Fix for a crash that could happen during loading/transition between areas – notably near Dr. Galvani’s house.
•Reworked “Choke” interaction to make it more reliable in valid contexts.
•Fixed minor localization issues (360).
•Fixed global post-process that sometimes worked improperly during some missions.
•Fix for a rare crash that could happen when killing a NPC with a possessed rat and spring razor (360)

As someone who struggled with the end-game to the Granny Rags subplot, this patch should be most-welcome to achievement-hunting birdies.

Title update 1.2 for Dishonored is now live. The "Dunwall City Trials" pack is set for a December 11th release and will cost you 400 MSP
