When 1 vs 100 was discontinued, many gamers had to wait for their prime-time entertainment fix. A few months later, Microsoft started beta testing Full House Poker, the game that was to take the now vacant prime-time spot. A mere 21 months after the game's release, another season of Texas Heat has arrived.
It's time for the Winter 2012 season of Texas Heat! Texas Heat is a regularly scheduled, fast-paced poker game that brings thousands of players together at the same time. You’ve got thirty minutes to bluff, bet, and raise your way to the top table in this unique, new poker game show!
"Full House Poker: Texas Heat, Winter 2012 Season" adds three achievements worth 50G, but these have not yet added to Xbox.com. Those of you who unlock the achievements now will notice that they are not being added to your gamerscore or achievement total. Some players are reporting that some achievements are unlocking as soon as they boot up the game after downloading the DLC as the achievements are not locked to the upcoming season sessions; if this is the case, I would advise holding off from even downloading the DLC until the achievements are added properly. Unfortunately, those of you who unlock the achievements beforehand will have to recover your gamertag and then earn the achievements again for them to be added to your gamerscore.
The "Full House Poker: Texas Heat, Winter 2012 Season" DLC is FREE and can be downloaded from here. The DLC is not available worldwide so check to make sure that the content is available in your region.
We've got the full list of Full House Poker achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
