Prepare for the End Game in Battlefield 3

By Ashley Woodcock, 4 years ago
Back at the beginning of the year, DICE revealed their heavy schedule for upcoming DLC packs for their fantastic first-person shooter, Battlefield 3. We've enjoyed our trips "Back to Karkand", been tipped over the edge with intense "Close Quarters" action, and took to the skies aboard the huge gunship in "Armored Kill".

Most recently, we've been extremely careful with our footing as players have battled it out for the win against their opposition amongst severely damaged buildings and earth-shattered environments in Aftermath. Some pretty amazing DLC packs have been released for Battlefield 3, and the fun still hasn't stopped as DICE get set to start dishing out the details for their upcoming "End Game" DLC pack.

End Game

Despite DICE only releasing a small amount of details for the upcoming pack, the features and info is enough to get the blood rushing for Battlefield 3 fans. New maps, new vehicles, a new game mode, new dropship abilities!? Nice! Check out the key features and details from the devs themselves:

Battlefield 3: End Game delivers some of the most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps. Race through enemy lines using the new dirt bike, bringing speed and agility to the Battlefield, or fight back aerial assaults with new lightweight AA vehicles. Coordinate lightning fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic Capture The Flag game mode. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports.

Key Features
Four new maps designed for high speed combat and action
Three new vehicles including the fast and agile dirt bikes
New dropship provides support to ground troops with vehicle drop capabilities
Return of the classic Capture The Flag game mode
Capture The Flag game mode?! Most of us won't have played CTF in a Battlefield game since Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. With high-speed motorcycles being combined with the craziness of online players, "End Game" is certainly set to be a very interesting expansion pack!

The upcoming DLC is scheduled for a March 2013 release and Premium members will not be charged any extra when it comes time to eagerly downloading the pack. A solid price is still yet to be confirmed, but if currently available packs are anything to go off; "End Game" looks like it may come with a 1200 MSP price tag.
