Almost a month ago, 343 Industries announced that they would be shuttering the servers for on February 15th.

Apparently, the fine folks at the development studio were not looking to break any hearts around this Valentine's Day, so they've decided that the Halo 2 servers can live on for now. According to David Ellis, a designer for 343, the Halo 2 servers will stay open till June, and they are exploring further support options for the title.

While this sounds promising for an even lengthier run for the Halo 2 servers, we do strongly encourage you to create some gaming sessions and knock out those online achievements sooner rather than later.
