Doritos Crash Course 2 Revealed

By Michelle Balsan,
It's safe to say that it was fairly surprising when, a couple of months ago, BHVR (formerly Behavior Interactive) announced that they would be releasing new DLC for their free XBLA title Doritos Crash Course. In light of the fact that a sequel to the title had been rumored, some assumed that these new levels were what the sequel turned into.

Well, if you love Crash Course, and it appears that quite a number of you do, then you'll be delighted to know that a sequel for the title has been confirmed. BHVR will once again be helming the title, which appears, from the following screens, to carry the spirit of its predecessor.

Doritos Crash Course 2 will task players with collecting stars in order to progress through 5 new worlds. It also appears to introduce a microtransaction system as players can now "buy coins to unlock new courses, power-ups and vanity items". Up to 4 players can compete online or locally, and you can download up to 3 ghosts of your friends' runs to see what they're doing to shave off those precious seconds.

While no release date is yet confirmed, the blurb for the title at xbox.com indicates that the game will be free, which will certainly make folks around here happy. When we have further information on the title, we'll be sure to share it with you.
