Green Day: Rock Band Full Setlist Revealed

By ButterflyEdge, 6 years ago
Today Entertainment Weekly have exclusively revealed the Green Day: Rock Band setlist in it's entirety.

The game will follow a similar path to that of The Beatles: Rock Band, in which you play the band's songs at key locations and events seen throughout their career. Well, almost. There is one fictional location known only as 'The Warehouse' to fill the gap around the Dookie era in which there was no 'real' location. There is also 'Milton Keynes', where the band played a couple of enormous sell out gigs and also recorded their Bullet in a Bible live DVD, and the last venue is 'The Fox Theatre', in the bands home state of California.

The setlist consists of a hefty 47 songs. In Venue order and sorted by albums, these are:

The Warehouse
Dookie (1994)
“Having a Blast”
“Welcome to Paradise”
“Pulling Teeth”
“Basket Case”
“Sassafrass Roots”
“When I Come Around”
“Coming Clean”
“Emenius Sleepus”
“In the End”

Milton Keynes
American Idiot (2004)
“American Idiot”
“Jesus of Suburbia”
“Boulevard of Broken Dreams”
“Are We the Waiting”
“St. Jimmy”
“Give Me Novacaine”
“She’s a Rebel”
“Extraordinary Girl”
“Wake Me Up When September Ends”

Warning (2000)

Nimrod (1997)
“Hitchin’ a Ride”
“Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”
“Nice Guys Finish Last”

Insomniac (1995)
“Brain Stew” / “Jaded”
“Geek Stink Breath”

The Fox Theater
21st Century Breakdown (2009)
“Song of the Century”
“21st Century Breakdown”
“Before the Lobotomy”
“Last Night on Earth”
“Murder City”
“¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl)”
“Restless Heart Syndrome”
“Horseshoes and Handgrenades”
“The Static Age”
“American Eulogy”
“See the Light”

With the following remainder of 21st Century Breakdown already being available separately in the Rock Band Store:
“21 Guns”
“Know Your Enemy”
“East Jesus Nowhere”
“Last of the American Girls”
“¡Viva La Gloria!”
“Christian’s Inferno”

Now, I've been a fan of Green Day for many, many years now and I'm sure I won't be alone in this but, no 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours? No Kerplunk? Yeah, the entire of Dookie is amazing, and while they don't do much for me I can understand the reasons behind the entire of both American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, but only eight songs from their middle albums? Colour me disappointed. I guess I'll just continue to sing 2000 Light Years Away to myself!

For all of those not sulking, Green Day: Rock Band has a worldwide release date of the 8th of June.
