BioShock Infinite to get Season Pass

By Jonathan Barnes, 3 years ago
On the heels of yesterday's announcement that BioShock Infinite (Xbox 360) had gone gold, today's announcement shouldn't come as a surprise to many gamers.

With the primary development work on the game finished, the team at Irrational Games has shifted to working on DLC support for their upcoming shooter. With DLC started, the announcement of a Season Pass shouldn't be far behind.

The BioShock Infinite Season Pass will be available at the game's launch and is set to include three add-on packs that are currently in development. These packs will "provide hours of additional gameplay and continue the player’s journey in the sky-city of Columbia with new stories, characters, abilities and weapons."

In addition to these three add-on packs, gamers will also receive the "Early Bird Special Pack", which contains four pieces of exclusive gear: a Machine Gun Damage Upgrade, a Pistol Damage Upgrade, a gold skin for both weapons and five Infusion bottles that allow players to increase their health, their shield durability or their ability to use Vigors by increasing the quantity of Salts they can carry.

As with all Season Passes, purchasing this bundle will represent a savings (over 30% this time around) over purchasing each pack separately.

The BioShock Infinite Season Pass will cost 1600 MSP and will be available when the game is released on March 26th.
