GoW: Judgment VIP Season Pass and DLC Detailed

By Keith Gray, 3 years ago
There is less than a month until Gears of War: Judgment, the latest title in the illustrious action-shooter franchise, is released.

Ahead of the much-anticipated release, Microsoft has released details of the VIP Season Pass that will be made available for the game to enable gamers to get a "leg up" on the competition in a variety of ways. The VIP Season Pass will have a price tag of 1600 MSP and purchasing it will garner a number of incentives, as quoted below:

• Two Game Add-on Packs that include six multiplayer maps, two new modes, and new weapon and armour skins
• Early access to Game Add-on multiplayer maps so you can be the first to play
• A permanent double XP boost to accelerate your ascent through the ranks
• Five exclusive weapon skins and four exclusive armour skins
In addition to the VIP Season Pass details, Microsoft and Epic Games have also revealed an exclusive collaboration with MAXIM magazine. The agreement will see two multiplayer maps, named Haven (showcased in the two screenshots below) and Capitol, become available free of charge following the game's release.

Furthermore, Execution Mode will make a return in Gears of War: Judgment. In the new title, Execution Mode will task gamers with eliminating all members of the opposing team, with an execution move being required to finish off the job. Efficient killers will have to work fast because the bleed-out timer becomes a lifeline as health is restored when the time runs out. Before you get the opportunity for an execution, you'll have to pick your weapon of choice. The Booshka, The Breechshot and the Markza Semi-Auto Sniper have all been highlighted thus far.

Gears of War: Judgment will be available on March 19th in North America and March 22nd in other territories, so you still have time to consider the available pre-order options.
