The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Screens and Details

By Chewie, 3 years ago
At the beginning of February we brought you the news that a sequel to the critically acclaimed RPG, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, would be making its way to all "high-end platforms" in 2014. Titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game would see the continuing adventures of Geralt and the non-linear storylines, moral dilemmas and absorbing world that made the previous entries of the series so successful.

Shortly after the initial announcement, we then brought you some more details of the game, developed by CD Projekt RED, including the fact that the sequel will be 30 times bigger than its predecessor and will attain a "completely new level of non-linearity". We can also now confirm that the main storyline will account for 50 hours of gameplay, with additional side quests and stories taking another 50 hours to cover. We'll leave you to do the maths on the total play time. As before, the decisions the player makes will have a significant impact on the world and characters around Geralt.

As well as these details, we get our first screenshots of the game. These images focus on one of the many new locations in the title; the sub-zero archipelago of Skellige.
