Ascend: New Gods Introduces Crusade Spells

Just last week, Signal Studios revealed some of the spells that will be available in their upcoming XBLA title, Ascend: Hand of Kul. In addition to those alignment-specific spells where the effect is primarily on a single target (the caster), there are also "Crusade Spells" that can "help or hinder both friends and foes". They come in two varieties: "Blessing" and "Curse"

Studio Signals has chosen to show off two of these new spells, one of each type.

From the "Blessing" category, we have Fury, a spell which can be used by those with a dark alignment.
Fury

Fury is an attack buff powered by the God of Dark that can be placed upon other players. Although only lasting a short duration, this buff will significantly increase the Caos’ attack damage and is ideal for helping any friend battling a boss!
From the "Curse" category, we have Banish, a spell which can be used by all alignments.
Banish

Banish is a useful Curse that every class will have access to. Casting this upon another player will open portals between the two worlds, and your surrounding enemies will be sucked into their game. The player applying this Curse will be granted both Crusade points and Souls based off how effective Banish was in battle.
Ascend: New Gods will attempt to cast a spell over your MSP when it is released on XBLA some time later this year.
