Call of Juarez: Gunslinger Details Emerge

By Michelle Balsan, 3 years ago
Back in September, Ubisoft revealed a new entry in their Call of Juarez franchise, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. What we knew about the game then was that it would abandon the more modern approach adopted by Call of Juarez: The Cartel and return to the Wild West setting traditionally favored by the series. Since then, we've seen one dev diary and nothing else.

It seems the lid is about to be properly blown off the game, as Ubisoft has released several new details and assets. You will play as Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter who has long been on the trail of the West's most notorious outlaws. As a result, you'll see several famous faces throughout the course of the game.

Just how will the game look, you ask? Take a peak at these screens, which show various game locales, and the new teaser trailer, both of which were released today.

Gunslinger Canyon

Gunslinger Goldmine

Gunslinger Stinking Springs

Gunslinger Town

Gunslinger Woodcamp

In addition to all that visual goodness, Ubisoft has released a helping of key points about Gunslinger for your consideration.

Meet the legendary outlaws
Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, Jesse James… Face down the West’s most notorious gunslingers and live the untold stories behind the legends.

Experience a lawless land
Blaze a trail through the wilderness of the Old West and live an epic adventure through stunning Western landscapes.

Dispense your own justice
With a gun holster tied to your leg, become a ruthless bounty hunter on a journey made of all out gun battles.

Prevail in deadly gunfights
Master the art of blasting pistols, shooting rifles, dodging bullets and unleash lethal combos to gun down multiple enemies in split seconds.

Become the West’s finest
Choose the specific gun fighting skills you want to develop and acquire new shooting abilities to become the West’s finest gunslinger.
Initially revealed for "Early 2013", it seems pretty clear that Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is pretty clearly going to miss that window, though Ubi is still citing a first quarter release. A full reveal trailer will be released on March 14th.
