Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen Casts a Spell

Understandably, many gamers are left quite perturbed when we get a notice of Day One or very-shortly-after-launch DLC being released. The logic is that we just paid for a game, so why was it missing content that was ready for launch day.

One game that has very clearly bucked this DLC trend is Capcom's Dragon's Dogma. Fully revealed back December, which was several months after the game's May release, the "Dark Arisen" expansion promised new customization options, new weapons, new enemies, and, perhaps most importantly, a huge new dungeon to explore. We then saw some screens and a trailer. Most recently, we got a look at the addition's gameplay.

Today, Capcom has released a trailer highlighting the spells that will assist players in surviving the dungeon on Bitterblack Isle.

"Dark Arisen" will be released on-disc on April 23th in North America for $39.99 and April 26th in Europe for £19.99/€29.99, with the digital version of the game arriving on Games on Demand sometime in this Summer. The release will also include the core game and the "Dark Arisen" expansion.
