Terraria Multiplayer Detailed

The slow drip of information for 505 Games' Terraria picked up today as several details have been revealed for the retro-styled sandbox title's multiplayer modes.

Terraria will be able to support up to eight players at once over Xbox LIVE. It will feature an "immediate invite" system that will allow gamers to invite up to seven of their friends to join in co-op or competitive play. You'll also be able to play the game locally with up to three others, and you can also engage in 4 vs. 4 splitscreen action over LIVE.

Of course, that's all fine and good, but we all like pictures to visualize what this game will look like when a screens divided into quarters. Thankfully, 505 Games has very appropriately provided four screens showing off the four-player mayhem.
