Full House Poker Enters Spring 2013 [UPDATE]

By Rebecca Smith, 3 years ago
Edit: The DLC achievements have now been added to Xbox.com. As thought, there are three new achievements worth a total of 50G. Those of you who waited to play this DLC can now do so without any problems. Those of you who had already unlocked some of the achievements before they were added properly will have to recover your profile and re-earn the achievements for them to count towards your total.

Original Story:

Microsoft's prime time gaming experience continues as Full House Poker enters its sixth season of Texas Heat, over two years since the game debuted on Xbox LIVE. It's time for "Texas Heat, Spring 2013 Season".

It's time for the Spring 2013 season of Texas Heat! Texas Heat is a regularly scheduled, fast-paced poker game that brings thousands of players together at the same time. You’ve got thirty minutes to bluff, bet, and raise your way to the top table in this unique, new poker game show! The DLC adds three achievements for an unknown amount of gamerscore. It is likely to be 50G, but we can't be certain as the achievements have not yet added to Xbox.com. Those of you who unlock the achievements now will notice that they are not being added to your gamerscore or achievement total. Some players are reporting that some achievements are unlocking as soon as they boot up the game after downloading the DLC as the achievements are not locked to the upcoming season sessions; if this is the case, I would advise holding off from even downloading the DLC until the achievements are added properly. Unfortunately, those of you who unlock the achievements beforehand will have to recover your gamertag and then earn the achievements again for them to be added to your gamerscore.

The "Full House Poker: Texas Heat, Spring 2013 Season" DLC is FREE and can be downloaded from here. The DLC is not available worldwide so check to make sure that the content is available in your region.

It's a shame that I can't complete this game, so I kind of gave up on it to be honest. Nice to see they are still supporting this though.

Full House Poker can go fuck itself. That game was fun until they started releasing this pointless DLC.
If they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed.

Just as I thought I completed all 35 achievements, another 3 added. Thankfully, I already met those conditions. When will Full House Poker ever end in order to continue with WSOP: Full House Pro?

I guess I still have some time to grind out the Texas Heat hands and try to get that last 4 of a kind.
Look at me so I can finish!

There are gamers out there, who enjoy the game, and enjoy playing and having those updates. Folks for whom, the achievements don't matter, if you don't want to complete a game, don't play ANY game ever, then you won't have to worry.

to play a game just to get an achievement that takes weeks to get is pretty much pointless if your not even having fun..... some of you should reevaluate your gaming habits to a much more enjoyable experience. Trust me i used to be pretty anal about my list to but ive grown to accept half to 3/4s

So I guess this means that F2P version of Full House Poker isn't to be expected any time soon then?

Blarg, I thought they were moving on to that other game and discontinuing this one. Looks like achievements are "Totally Flushed" (not sure objective?), get $10 million bankroll and knock out 200 players in multiplayer. God, I hate this awful poker game.

Not many.

I'm sick to death of this game and wish I'd never bought it. Judging by the comments so far, I'm far from alone on that.

Nobody minds new achievements, but all these recent DLC achievements have been crazy grinds. Play thousands of hands, get loads of rare hands etc etc etc. Nothing interesting, nothing with any thought. Just achievements to keep people playing this game.
