Welcome to CloudBerry Kingdom

What happens if you cross the randomly generated levels of Spelunky with the fiendish difficulty of Super Meat Boy, add in a touch of the visual style of BattleBlock Theater and finish with a sprinkling of the wacky character customisation in which Xbox LIVE avatars specialise? You get something akin to Pwnee Studios' upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade platformer CloudBerry Kingdom.

Unhappily ever after? That's how it starts. The Orb resurfaces and the classic characters return. Kobbler with his mania, Princess with her endless boredom. It's only a matter of time before Bob, our hero, shows up to put order back to madness. Three powers struggle for victory and the fate of Cloudberry Kingdom hangs in the balance. What will become of the retired hero, Bob? Will saving Princess one last time win her love? Could true love stop Kobbler and the power of the Orb? No, probably not. But hey, it's worth a shot.
CloudBerry Kingdom is a side-scrolling platformer that randomly designs its levels to fit the players' desired level of difficulty and the specifications of the hero character. By tweaking a number of different factors for each of the different heroes, from the amount of fuel in the hero's jetpack to the effects of gravity, players can turn the huge number of levels in the campaign into an infinite amount of possibilities and playthroughs. The game will also predict the difficulty that is appropriate for the player based on their previous experience with the game. Difficulty is increased using a number of factors, such as the number of obstacles and the amount of room in which up to four players can manoeuvre through a level.

There are over ten different heroes that players can use throughout the game and each comes with their own set of characteristics. If that isn't enough, costumes and hats can be used to customise the characters.

If players decide that they're not in the mood for the campaign, there is a custom level builder where players can build their own creations. These can then be shared with friends where you can issue challenges to each other. You can even build your own custom campaign.

The five difficulty levels range from Easy to Masochistic. If you really want to know just how masochistic the levels can get, I suggest you view this developer diary that chronicles the development of the game so far.
